3/4 c milk
1 1/4 oz butter
1 pkg yeast
1/6 c warm water
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/8 c sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
11 1/2 oz flour, plus more for surface

Warm milk over med heat and melt butter. let cool. In another bowl sprinkle yeast over warm water and let stand for 5 minutes. Put yeast in mixer with milk and butter, egg, sugar, salt, nutmeg, and half the flour. Combine with paddle attatchment on low until incorperated, then increase speed to med and mix until combined. Add in the rest of the flour on low then increase to med to fully combine. Change to dough hookand beat on med for about 4 min. Place dough in a well oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size. Flour surface and dump out dough. Try not to work the dough too much. It will be sticky. Flour the top of the dough and genltly roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut shapes and let rest for 30 min. Cook in oil at 350* for 1 min on each side or until golden brown.
