Crock Pot Friday Pinto Beans

3 c dry pinto beans rinsed and picked through
1 tsp chicken bullion
1 med onion, chopped
1/2 lb bacon
salt

In a crock pot place beans, bouillon and 4 to 6 cups water in crock pot. You need about double the water as beans. Cook on low about 6 hours. Beans are done when soft and bean skins are a brown uniform color and skin starts to split.

Cut bacon in 1 inch squares with kitchen sheers. Cook in pan till crispy on medium heat. Remove bacon from pan a place on paper towel lined plate. Cook onions in frying pan in bacon grease on medium till transparent and slightly browned. Add onions, without grease to cooked beans. Salt beans. Add some grease to taste. Serve beans and top with bacon.
